Christmas Cookie Madness Wrap-up

So, I’m officially done with my Christmas cookies (insert whoo-hoo!) While I, by no means, made as many cookies as I have in the past – I did still make 23 dozen in 2 1/2 weeks. And decorated the house. And got all the Christmas gifts bought and wrapped. I’m ready for a vacation!

Here’s an end of year Christmas cookie wrap up! In no particular order…

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!

Some Happy Holiday Santa Feet…

A sweet winter owl. I hand painted this guy for Ben’s 1st grade teacher, who loves owls.

I made a bunch of these cute little reindeer. There’s a funny story about me trying to use an upside down octopus as a reindeer but I won’t go into it and embarrass myself… Just know that unless there’s some serious modification to the octopus’s legs, it’s always going to look like an octopus!

These are some simple Christmas ornaments. I used a stencil from Salsa Sweets to do the ‘hohoho’. You can see her collection of stencils here:

Christmas Angels. The shimmer on these cookies does not show up in the photo but they were so pretty. They didn’t mail well but they were pretty!

And arrangement of christmas tree light bulbs… Next year, I’m throwing purple in there too!

A red cardinal. I LOVED these cookies. But I did not love the photographs of it. It was one of those cookies that was so difficult to capture…

And lastly, my favorite. I needed to make cookie platters that fed 20 plus people – but I did not have the time to make regular sized cookies. Using the wet on wet technique, I made bite sized leaves and berries. Then threw in a few regular cookies to tie the theme together.

These pig ornament cookies were made for my step-mom. She loves pigs and her birthday happens to be December 25th. I have been wanting to make her special cookies for a couple years now but I’ve never gotten around to it. This year, I made time for it!

This cookie was a left-over. I really wasn’t that crazy about it but was convinced otherwise. I photographed it and decided that it wasn’t that bad after all! ;)

Boy in snow, with tree

Just playing around with some extra ‘SNOWMEN’…

I saved this guy for Christmas Eve. We left him out for Santa. Would you believe that he took a HUGE bite out of him?!?

Sledding Santa

Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season!
